Victoria Walks to School Training Competition

Get walking today to prepare your children for the big event on 19 October. There are great prizes to be won, and terrific ideas to keep your children entertained while walking (especially during the school holidays).

The competition categories are:
• Best photo of lollipop person
• Best video of a silly walk
• Best drawing of walking trip to school (age 4 to 6)
• Best Walk to School Map on Walking Maps website (age 7 to 11).

Prizes:
• Winner : $150 Voucher for toys and children’s play equipment from Windmill.
• Runner-up : $100 Voucher for toys and children’s play equipment from Windmill.

Final entries must be in by October 20th, 2011.

Victoria Walks to School day on Wednesday 19 October is an initiative to promote m ore walking in your school community.

Walking to school is an active and fun way to keep children healthy, connect with friends and neighbours, reduce traffic congestion, save money and help the environment.
